take it easy

having left bratislava, im now in piestany which is a nearby spa town. this keyboard, which is probably the 6th or 7th type ive seen, is slightly incomprehensible so ive given up on apostrophes, brackets, hyphens and the at sign...so bare with me. it took me half an hour to find the letter Y and the question mark, and i stumbled accross the exclamation mark when i was looking for the apostrophe. in piestany, i am staying with lenka, who was one of my closest friends at camp the past two summers. her boyfriend whose name is Nio is also visiting from italy, and radka, another friend from camp, came for the weekend, so its a full but happy house. piestany is tiny and idyllic, and ive now strolled slowly around the entire town a number of times. we pass the hours walking languidly, sipping fruity drinks in sidewalk cafes, and being overfed by lenkas lovely mother. i have been so completely relaxed since coming here. there is a lot of silence, but we are all so comfortable just hanging out, and i love having the amazing company and feeling so loved. today is the first official day of the spa season here, so there are festivals in the town. we walked around them all morning, and Nio and i tried a slightly alcoholic drink made from fermented honey...it was interesting and spicy, like cinnamon. were all going back in the evening to watch some performances, including one by the winner of the slovak version of american idol, but right now were just lazing around the flat. im sunburned again, of course, and the blisters are back...but im very relaxed and happy.
